Details
The Tin Cloth Work Jacket combines the utilitarian functionality of the Filson classic wool work jacket with the decades-proven durability and weather protection of the Filson signature Tin Cloth. The interior torso is lined with lightweight canvas Cover Cloth and the sleeves with polyester for ease of layering. Two large cargo pockets secure with snapped flaps and conceal Alaskan Guide flannel-lined hand pockets. The wool lining on the collar adds warmth when turned up to protect from cold wind. The cut is hip-length, allowing access to a tool belt and preventing the jacket from riding up when seated.
Our oil finish Tin Cloth is a tightly woven canvas duck that’s been thoroughly saturated with paraffin under high pressure and heat. This process forces the wax into the core of the cotton fibers for lasting water resistance. Tin Cloth’s exceptionally tight weave allows it to withstand abrasion, block the wind, and gives it tremendous tear strength, the core attributes that have made it trusted for protection the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest for more than 80 years.
